Process for Suspension of Certification

  1. In order for GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ to maintain the high level of service currently provided to clients, and to safeguard the reputation of both GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ and the registered client base, it may be required to Suspend the registration of clients who do not meet the requirements of the international standards or the GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Codes of Practice.
  2. The decision to recommend a notice of Suspension to be issued will be made only if one or more of the following circumstances has occurred:
    Consistent and ongoing failure by the client to effectively implement key activities of their documented systems
    Failure to conduct Re-Audits prior to expiry of existing Certificate
    Failure to conduct the first Surveillance visit within 12 months of the Initial Audit
    Failure to submit ongoing Surveillance visits to the Accredited Office within 3 months of the due dates
    Consistent and ongoing falsification and/or fabrication of records of implementation
    Failure to respond to Corrective Action Requests
    Non-payment of certification fees owed to GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Complaints having not been addressed in an appropriate manner
    Request from the client for voluntary suspension
  3. The Suspension must be clearly documented on a Suspension/Withdrawal/Cancellation Form and be submitted to, or created by, the Accredited Office.
  4. The Suspension/Withdrawal/Cancellation Form, and any supporting information, shall be reviewed by the GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Accredited Office, who shall record the reasons for the Suspension, the Date that Suspension should begin and the Period of Suspension. In most cases the Suspension period would not exceed 6 months.
  5. If the GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Accredited Office decides to Suspend a client the Local GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office is notified by the updating of the client’s status and the Suspension/Withdrawal/Cancellation Form shall be returned to the Local GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office to allow the client to be advised of their Suspension.
  6. The Local GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office shall inform the client that their registration has been Suspended and the reasons and duration for the Suspension. The Local GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office shall request the proposed corrective action and time scales for such action, in order to lift the Suspension. Records of all correspondence will be maintained by the Local W3

    SOLUTIONZ Office and submitted to the Accredited office as required.

  7. The Local GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office shall inform the client that under the terms of their Suspension the client’s registration is temporarily invalid and that the client shall refrain from any promotion of their certification until such time as the Suspension has been lifted.

    The Local GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office shall ensure that the Suspended status of the certification is made publicly accessible

  8. Suspended Certificates may be restored if, within the stated Suspension period, the client has notified GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ of actions having been taken against the notified cause for Suspension and, depending on the cause and actions, GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ have verified the effectiveness of these actions by either:

    Completion of required Surveillance previously not completed Special visit Audit
    Receipt of fees outstanding

    Upon receipt of evidence provided to the Local GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office to allow the Suspension to be lifted, within the Suspension period agreed, the Accredited GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office shall be notified that the Suspension may be lifted and shall be provided with the necessary evidence

  9. Should the client fail to resolve the issues that have resulted in the Suspension within the Suspension period stated by the GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Accredited Office this shall result in either Withdrawal of the certification or a Scope Reduction (if appropriate)
  10. Upon request by any party, GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ shall correctly state the status of certification of a client’s management system
