Process for Scope Reduction of Certification

  1. In order for GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ to maintain the high level of service currently provided to clients, and to safeguard the reputation of both GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ and the registered client base, it may be required to Reduce the Scope of the registration of clients who do not meet the requirements of the international standards or the GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Codes of Practice.

  2. The decision to Reduce the Scope of the registration will be made only if one or more of the following circumstances has occurred:
Failure to resolve the issues that have resulted in a Suspension within the Suspension period agreed by GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ (see Procedure 7), where it is possible to resolve the issues by Reducing the Scope
Auditor recommendation for Reduction of Scope, to exclude the parts not meeting the requirements, when the client has persistently or seriously failed to meet the certification requirements for those parts of the scope of certification
Request from the client for Reduction of Scope

If a change is identified during the course of an audit, the Auditor is required to complete and submit a Certificate Change Request Form, along with the Audit Report, to the local GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ Office

  3. The Scope Reduction must be clearly documented by the Local Office using the Change Request function and, where applicable, the relevant audit report and supporting documentation shall be uploaded to support this. The Change Request shall then be reviewed by an approved Accredited Office Certificate Decision Maker. The recommendation and GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ’ reasons for the recommendation to Reduce the Scope shall be advised to the client and recorded
  4. Any Scope Reduction shall be in line with the requirements of the standard used for certification
  5. Upon request by any party, GEEV CERTIFICATION SOLUTIONZ shall correctly state the status of certification of a client’s management system
